Freudenberg Chemical Specialities GmbH (FCS), a Business Group of Freudenberg SE, will bundle its business area for the development, production and distribution of bonded coatings under the management of its SurTec International GmbH business unit. Until now, the FCS business units Klüber Lubrication, OKS and SurTec have operated largely independently of each other in the market for bonded coatings. With the acquisition of omniTECHNIK Mikroverkapselungs GmbH, SurTec has taken a further step towards complete system solutions for surface technology. omniTECHNIK is a specialist for pre-applied fuse and seal coatings and is known for its precote brand.
SurTec's goal is to become the most comprehensive expert in functional coatings on the market. The companies aim for a seamless transition of the business in the interest of their customers. The handover of the business will take place in January 2024. Dedicated project teams in the respective FCS units have initiated the integration and implementation.
