Fanuc, a supplier of painting robots, now also operates a modern Paint Lab at the location of its German branch in Neuhausen/Stuttgart. The nearly 30-meter-long test facility is used to test and optimize customer applications under real conditions. "With our Paint Lab, we can map a large number of different paints and painting systems," says Ralf Völlinger, General Manager Robot Business Division, Fanuc GmbH.
The opening in September was well attended by 250 guests. A feature that allows users to create hand-guided painting programs with a robot attracted a lot of interest. Worldwide, Fanuc turned over the equivalent of 5.6 billion euros in the last fiscal year (ending March 31). Just under a third of this was generated by the sale of robots.
