More market transparency, easier work for formulators: At the American Coatings Show, the companies Evonik, Lanxess, and Synthomer are presenting the foundation of a new product search for the coatings industry. The Coatino formulation network already includes specialty additives from Evonik at launch, as well as polymer binders and dispersions from Synthomer and iron oxide pigments from Lanxess. The products of other suppliers are to follow. The search function allows users to find products not only by their material class, but also by regulatory properties.
On www.coatino.com users can choose between different raw material classes and manufacturers, but also set filters for essential product properties: Food contact, eco-label, VOC content or regional availability are just a few possible filter criteria that can be applied across raw materials. In the next step, the user gets access to product information such as technical, regulatory or safety data sheets.
