Efficient BvL cleaning line for engine components

Anzeige Cleaning and pre-treatment | Created by BA

Reconditioning truck engines in a very short cycle time: BvL Oberflächentechnik has solved this task with a clever interlinking of several cleaning, drying and cooling stations.

The task: To meet the demanding OEM cleanliness specifications, especially in the difficult-to-access ducts for air, oil, water and fuel of the engines. The solution: A multi-chamber cleaning line with integrated pre-cleaning and fine cleaning as well as drying and cooling. The plant system consists of a total of five stations in which the components are treated simultaneously. Pre-cleaning is carried out by a NiagaraRH 1600, while fine cleaning is performed by two NiagaraDFS 1200 units.

The NiagaraDFS is a flood/spray cleaning system with Rhön wheel technology. The rotation of the items to be cleaned around the horizontal axis, supported by an ultrasonic device, ensures thorough cleanliness. After cleaning, the components enter a NevadaVTR 1200 continuous vacuum dryer. Finally, the components are cooled down to the required component temperature in the Arctic cooling tunnel. The Smart Cleaning Apps from BvL enable intelligent cleaning and digital networking.
