Edur-Pumpenfabrik has put its new test facility into operation. The company has invested two million euros in the construction of the five new test benches. Each individual pump is tested for the agreed performance before delivery. The previous two test benches were increasingly becoming a bottleneck in the process chain.
Testing up to five pumps in parallel
Thanks to two separate tanks, each with a volume of 18,000 liters - one for stainless steel pumps, one for other material groups - up to five pumps can now be tested or prepared for acceptance in parallel. Both tanks are filled with deionized water, and the tank for stainless steel pumps is also filled with disinfectant additives. In this way, Edur also wants to meet the high requirements of the high-purity sector, for example.
Testing according to global standards
The new test benches offer volume flows of up to 600m³/h, delivery pressures of up to PN40 and voltages of up to 500 V. This enables the company to test all centrifugal pumps according to global standards in its own factory. NPSH tests in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9906:2013-3 for all series and sizes are now also standard. The test reports are transferred directly to the IT documentation using appropriate interfaces.
