Dürr has redesigned the EcoGun ACE pro low-pressure paint spray gun. The new version is lighter, has fewer components and has been adapted in terms of ergonomics and operation. According to the manufacturer, the modified design contributes to simplified handling and greater operational safety.
The EcoGun ACE pro is based on the design features of the previous version and is 23% lighter. A quick-change system for the color channel enables color changes within a short time without flushing and with low solvent consumption. Interchangeable nozzle inserts are designed for applications with small batch sizes or frequent color changes, for example in the automotive sector, in wood processing and in yacht and boat building.
Revised operating concept
The operating concept of the spray gun has been adapted. Larger adjustment elements make handling easier. The spray air is regulated using a rotary knob, which replaces the previous lever. This is intended to reduce unintentional adjustment. The spray air can also be closed completely. The pressure can be set at the first actuation point of the trigger using an adapted air valve.
Reduced number of variants
The EcoGun ACE pro is available with four air cap variants. Two conventional and two LVLP air caps cover nozzle sizes from 1.2 to 2.5 millimetres. The aim is to simplify stock-keeping and reduce the risk of confusion. The air cap and union nut remain connected to each other even when dismantled, thus avoiding loose individual parts. Externally, the new generation is distinguished by a bronze-coloured housing and black operating elements. The design characterizes the revised version, while the basic system principle of the low-pressure gun remains unchanged.
