Pressure measurement foils from Kager for robotics and handling technology

Anzeige Measuring and testing | Created by BA

The question of optimal pressure application occupies a central role in the design, commissioning and setup of robotic assembly and handling systems. Prescale multilayer films from Kager can replace complicated equipment technology efficiently.

The prescale multilayer films are available in nine variants to determine mechanical compressive loads from 0.05 Nmm-2 (Extreme Low) to 300 Nmm-2 (Super High). They are supplied on rolls of 3 to 10 m run length in widths of 270 mm or 320 mm. Sections for placement between contact points can be cut out with scissors. When pressure is applied, micro-color capsules inserted inside the film burst, so that load and pressure progression are displayed in color. Accuracies of ± 10 percent are possible.

For higher accuracies of up to ± 2.0 percent, a system consisting of a high-speed flatbed scanner, evaluation software and a calibration sheet is available. Cutouts and print progressions can be displayed on the screen as a 3D detail view. This allows reliable statements to be derived about the actual and target forces between components or at joints.
