Kager supplies an insulating hose made of aluminized aramid. It protects pipes and cables in industrial high-temperature applications from unwanted heating and direct radiant heat.

The KA-3-KL insulating hose made of aluminized aramide fabric from Kager proves its worth wherever exceptionally high ambient temperatures prevail - for example in the steel industry or in foundries. Aramids are characterized by a continuous heat resistance of up to 250° C and do not begin to melt until temperatures exceed 500° C. Thanks to an additional aluminum coating, KA-3-KL insulating sleeving also protects against radiant heat of up to 1,000° C.

The material is flexible, but extremely impact resistant as well as tensile and abrasion resistant - with low weight. The aluminum coating reflects a large part of the radiant heat and protects both the tube itself and the media it carries (oil, fuel, water, etc.) from unwanted heating. The insulating hose is available by the meter with a wall thickness of 1.4 mm and an inside diameter of 20 mm.
