Dörken looks back on a successful participation in WindEnergy Hamburg 2026. The trade show took place in Hamburg from September 22 to 25 and brought together the international wind industry to discuss technological developments, market requirements, and the prospects for the energy transition.
For Dörken, the focus was on direct interaction with customers and partners from the wind industry. The company used the event to discuss current challenges and future requirements for modern corrosion protection systems. The company presented its expertise in functional surfaces and corrosion protection solutions for demanding applications in the onshore and offshore sectors.
Focus on Corrosion Protection
Key topics at the trade show booth included 2K room-temperature-curing coating systems as well as products without intentionally added PFAS. In doing so, Dörken addressed topics that are gaining importance in the wind industry, both in terms of technical performance and regulatory and sustainability-related requirements.
René Frederik Rother, Key Account Manager for Industrial Coatings, emphasizes the event’s importance for industry dialogue: “WindEnergy is one of the most important platforms for us to engage with and maintain dialogue with key industry players.” At the same time, the company was able to demonstrate there “how Dörken contributes to increasing the durability and reliability of components in wind turbines with innovative coating solutions.”
Dialogue with the Wind Industry
WindEnergy Hamburg is considered a key meeting place for the onshore and offshore wind industry. According to the organizers, approximately 40,000 trade visitors from more than 100 countries came to Hamburg. Across the entire value chain, the trade show provided opportunities for one-on-one discussions, networking, and establishing new contacts.
For Dörken, too, the trade show was not only a platform for presenting technical solutions but also for nurturing existing partnerships. The exchange with experts from the wind industry provided insights into current market requirements and future developments. Klaus Gradtke, also a Key Account Manager for Industrial Coatings, therefore draws a positive conclusion: “The positive response to our trade show presence and the high quality of the discussions demonstrate how important direct dialogue is for joint innovations.”
