The focus of its presentation will be on systems that are ready for immediate industrial use and have already received initial OEM approvals.
PFAS-Free Zinc Flake Systems with OEM Approvals
Among the references cited is the Delta-Protekt TC 502 GZ topcoat, which, according to Dörken, has been approved under Volkswagen specification VW TL 245 Ofl-t647. For Volvo, the company lists several approved system combinations under VCS 5737,41, including Delta-Protekt KL 100 or Dörken Base 120 with Delta-Protekt TC GZ Silver, as well as Dörken Base 120 with Dörken Top 500 Black. According to the company, additional sampling is underway with OEMs in the automotive and wind industries.
Room-Temperature Curing Aimed at Lower Energy Demand
As another exhibit at the trade fair, Dörken is announcing Delta-Protekt KL 170 RT. This is a one-component zinc flake basecoat system that cures at room temperature and is intended for applications including wheel bearings and brake discs. Eliminating the oven curing step can simplify processing and reduce energy demand in coating operations.
