Deutsche Messe AG is responding to the challenges facing the trade fair industry in recent months. It is reorganizing the organizational structure into four business units. This is associated with several personnel changes.

The overall management and strategic direction of the Ligna, Interschutz, parts2clean and SurfaceTechnology Germany trade fair portfolio is now the responsibility of the Trade Fair & Product Management division, which will be headed by Hendrik Engelking. Christian Pfeiffer, previously Head of Ligna and Woodworking Events worldwide, will be responsible for Sales as Business Unit Manager. This is the central responsibility for customer acquisition for the entire Deutsche Messe AG trade fair portfolio.

Stephanie Wagner will be responsible for project management and thus also for the content and operational management of Ligna. She has been with Deutsche Messe AG for more than ten years and most recently served as Ligna project officer. "We are delighted that Ms. Wagner, an extremely experienced colleague, is filling this strategically important position," says Hendrik Engelking. "She is a familiar face in the woodworking industry and will continue the successful cooperation with our exhibitors, partners and customers."
