DECHEMA Gesellschaft für Chemische Technik und Biotechnologie e. V. is awarding the DECHEMA Innovation Prize for the first time. The new award honors technical, engineering or scientific developments that extend the international state of the art in research and technology and have already been transferred into industrial practice or are about to be. The aim of the award is to promote the implementation of innovative solutions in the process industry and to contribute to the creation of new jobs in Germany and Europe.
Europe-wide application possible
European companies that have developed market-ready innovations in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals or related sectors together with at least one other company or research institution are eligible to apply. The main criteria are the value creation potential, the technological relevance, the level of development and the interdisciplinary cooperation between the partners involved. The award consists of a certificate, a trophy and an invitation to a presentation by the winner at a DECHEMA event. The prize will be awarded every two years in future.
Jury from industry and science
Applications can be submitted free of charge via an application form on the DECHEMA website until January 31, 2026. A jury of representatives from industry and academia will review the applications and the applicants will be invited to an (online) pitch for the final decision. The DECHEMA e.V. Executive Board will then decide on the award winners based on the jury's recommendation.
