German materials manufacturer Covestro has inaugurated a new production line for thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs), which are used to manufacture paint protection films (PPFs). The new line is located at the company's site in Changhua, Taiwan. At the inauguration of the new line, the company also introduced its new Desmopan UP TPU series.
The 'UP' in the new product's name stands for "Ultimate Protection." The series offers high durability, conformability and aesthetics, protecting automotive surface coatings from harsh environmental conditions. The material can also be used to protect wind turbine blades or electronic device screens.
