The new Ultima is available for a maximum operating pressure of up to 10 bar and volume flows of up to 20 m³/min. With a footprint of less than two square meters, it is also 34 percent more compact than the first generation and up to 50 percent smaller than many competitor models.
Oil-free compressor stages
At its heart are two oil-free compressor stages driven by Compair's U-Drive technology. Two high-speed permanent magnet motors replace the conventional gearbox design. Friction losses are thus minimized and high efficiency is achieved across the entire operating range. The motors exceed the highest IE5 efficiency class, and the entire drive concept also achieves IES2 classification.
Digital gearbox concept
Traditional two-stage oil-free compressors are operated via a single gearbox, which consumes a lot of energy and requires large quantities of oil for lubrication. In contrast, Ultima uses a digital gearbox concept in which each compressor stage is operated independently at the optimum speed. In this way, the compressor adapts dynamically to the compressed air requirement and achieves maximum energy efficiency.
Water cooling for greater efficiency
The Ultima series compressors use water in a closed circuit to cool the compressor housing. This enables better heat transfer and cooling performance than with oil-cooled systems and guarantees pure compressed air. In addition, the components are subjected to less stress and no dirt can penetrate. All Ultima compressors can be optionally equipped with heat recovery.
