Energy efficiency, reliability and reduced life cycle costs in an oil-free compressor that is certified to ISO 8573-1:2010 for class zero - these were the goals that the developers at Compair set themselves for the new series. The result is the DX90-160 (RS) units. The series includes fixed and variable speed models from 90 to 160 kW and pressure variants up to 7.5, 8.5 and 10.5 bar.
Optimized two-stage compressor stage
A newly designed, two-stage compressor element provides a performance increase of up to nine percent. The compressor stage, housing and stainless steel rotors are equipped with the extremely resistant UltraCoat coating, which contributes to a long service life. A separate air inlet ensures that cooler air is supplied to the compressor stage, which further increases performance. The robust bearing design eliminates the need for balancing pistons and helps to reduce complexity and maintenance costs.
Efficient reluctance motor
In all speed-controlled models, an IE5 hybrid reluctance motor (HRM) ensures high efficiency at any load. Thanks to protection class IP55, the air-cooled motor is protected against the ingress of dust and water. A low starting current ensures a long service life. Each compressor in the range is supplied with iConn, Compair's digital cloud platform, which provides real-time information so that the compressor can be operated at maximum performance and the risk of downtime can be reduced.
