Brenntag Specialties concludes a distribution agreement with 3M. Brenntag obtains the exclusive right to distribute Glass Bubbles as additives for coatings, plastics and building materials in France and on the Iberian Peninsula.

Brenntag Specialties, distributor of chemicals and ingredients, is extending its existing distribution agreement with 3M for Glass Bubbles for the UK to France and the Iberian Peninsula. This came into effect at the beginning of the year.

Glass Bubbles as fillers

Glass Bubbles from 3M offer a high performance alternative to conventional fillers in a wide range of materials. 3M Glass Bubbles are made from soda lime borosilicate glass, a real glass with inherently higher water and chemical resistance than other hollow sodium silicate glass microspheres, also known as water glass. Glass bubbles contribute to weight savings. Other functional advantages are their dimensional stability and solar reflectivity.
