Bott introduces telescopic hydraulic cylinder with new drive

Hydraulics specialist Bott presents a telescopic hydraulic cylinder that is independent of the power and compressed air supply and requires no physical force for the drive.

The single-acting telescopic hydraulic cylinder developed by Bott requires no muscle power, electrical connection or compressed air. A cordless screwdriver is all that is needed to operate the integrated drive unit. Depending on the speed of the cordless screwdriver, the cylinder extends quickly and can be lowered gently by opening the release valve. The telescopic cylinder can also be operated manually using the integrated foot lever, for example to adjust its holding position.

Industry-suitable solution

The idea of using a cordless screwdriver to drive a hydraulic pump is not unheard of. However, Bott's solution is designed for use in industry. Thanks to its compact and lightweight design, the telescopic hydraulic cylinder can be installed in stationary and mobile devices or systems.

Suitable for lifting devices

Compared to compressed air operation, the cordless screwdriver drive is energy-optimized and is independent of a stationary power supply. The telescopic cylinder can be used for lifting devices in assembly or workshop areas and anywhere where pumping is usually still done by hand or foot.
