The Si2 series imaging cameras detect compressed air leaks, evaluate partial discharges, measure mechanical faults and quantify gas leaks. In addition to compressed air, they respond to hydrogen, CO2, methane, helium, argon and ammonia.

Flir, a Teledyne Technologies company, is expanding its Si series acoustic cameras with three new models. The new models are suitable for the detection of compressed air leaks, specialty gas leaks, mechanical faults and partial discharges. The Si2-Pro, Si2-LD and Si2-PD models fulfill important inspection requirements in industries such as manufacturing, electrical and utilities.

High sensitivity

The Si2 series cameras are designed to detect problems over greater distances, detect and measure with higher sensitivity and classify problems more accurately. Improvements to the image quality of the acoustic cameras include a 12 MP color camera, 8x digital zoom and an LED light for dark areas. The Si2 also has a longer battery life. Specialty gas leak quantification and cost estimates have been expanded beyond compressed air to include other common industrial gases such as hydrogen,CO2, methane, helium, argon, ammonia and others.

Filter out noise signature

Flir's advanced automatic filtering identifies leaks by their noise signature even in very noisy industrial environments. The Si2 Series' "Mech Mode" feature increases site safety by enabling rapid detection of mechanical problems (such as mechanical bearing failures). This ensures rapid site assessment, problem identification and solution implementation by specialists.
