Through its subsidiary Benseler Beteo Oberflächentechnik, the Benseler group of companies has long been offering anti-loosening devices. These are partially applied to the threads as a pre-coating with an adhesive, clamping or sealing function. Benseler has now added this service to its portfolio at its main site in Markgröningen. Here, the threads of screws in the M5 to M14 range and with a maximum length of 100 mm, as well as nuts in the M12 to M30 dimension range and outer diameters of up to 45 mm, can be coated.
"Particularly for the large nut dimensions, this special system closes a gap in the market," says Kerstin Genz, sales manager at Bensler Oberflächentechnik GmbH. The surface specialists use the precote chemical protection system for this purpose. With this microencapsulation system, screwing in releases the adhesive and hardener contained in the mating thread, which then cure in conjunction with the binder system. After curing, automatic loosening of the screw connection is virtually impossible.
