BASF Coatings has presented the Automotive Color Trends 2025-2026. According to BASF, the new collection shows how creative impulses from culture, technology and environmental design flow into automotive coatings. For the collection, the focus was placed on sustainable materials and new pigment technologies. For example, some colors contain renewable or recycled raw materials, while others use metallic liquid effects and fine glitter elements. The color spectrum is dominated by elegant solid shades with warm nuances such as red, mauve and brown.
Three regional lead colors
BASF Coatings is highlighting three regional lead colors out of 45 shades:
- Tesseract Blue (EMEA) with greenish-purple reflections stands for a change of perspective and harmonious design solutions.
- Phygital Magnetar (Asia-Pacific) is a warm metallic color that combines physical and digital worlds.
- Auxetic Neutral (America) interprets neutrality as a bold design element and stands for openness in design.
