Axalta offers the FCLE system in three of its premium refinish brands: Cromax - Ultra Performance Energy System, Spies Hecker (under the Speed-TEC product family) and Standox - Xtreme System.
Application-friendly clearcoat
The new clearcoat is more user-friendly as it does not require the basecoat to be activated, making application quicker and easier. It has a scratch and chemical-resistant finish with increased robustness. The mixing ratio and application of the new clearcoat is exactly the same as the previous FCLE system clearcoat, but does not require a flexible additive for plastic parts. The clearcoat offers a short drying process at low temperatures and the option of air drying.
Sanding and wet-on-wet filler in one
The filler impresses with the same high productivity and performance as previous FCLE fillers. Sanding filler and wet-on-wet filler are combined in one product. Body and paint stores can therefore work with lower stock levels, which simplifies the ordering and application process.
Lower energy consumption
Bart De Groof, Senior Director Marketing, Global Refinish at Axalta: "The improved FCLE system offers numerous advantages. These include energy savings of up to 50 percent on gas and up to 48 percent on electricity, achieved by drying at low temperatures and air drying respectively."
