The BMW Group appoints Axalta, supplier of liquid and powder coatings, as a recommended refinish supplier. This applies to the areas in which ColorSystem, BMW's own paint brand, is not represented. The new agreement comes into force in January 2025 and is valid for several years. It covers the BMW Group network of dealerships and partners in the field of accident repair in more than 50 countries.
Exclusive supplier for ColorSystem
The BMW Group has also extended Axalta's supplier agreement for ColorSystem in the USA and China. Axalta has already been selected as the exclusive supplier for ColorSystem in Europe and South Africa for several years. "Through several thorough tendering processes, Axalta has undoubtedly met the BMW Group's high standards in terms of quality, efficiency and sustainability," said Fabien Boschetti, Sales Vice President for Axalta Refinish in Europe.
Reducing CO2 emissions
Axalta will provide BMW partners with a paint system that uses Fast Cure Low Energy technology. This will help to reduceCO2 emissions and energy consumption.
