Instead of elaborate marking solutions for large production lines, SIC Marking offers a standard module in different marking window sizes. The components to be marked can be placed in front of the laser tunnel by a robot or the laser tunnel is guided onto the component via a linear axis. For both cases of automation, SIC Marking offers the F.I.T. laser of laser protection class 1, a system with an exact focus point. Christoph Lange, Technical Manager at SIC Marking GmbH, says, "The F.I.T. laser combines the tunnel system with the standard i104 laser module, a flexible and low-maintenance laser system." Steel, aluminum and titanium alloys can be marked, as well as many plastics.
The mechanical autofocus integrated through the tunnel compensates for fluctuations in the component or system. Thus, the F.I.T. laser marker eliminates the need to integrate a costly and fragile electronic autofocus. The laser lightweight is integrated via a Profinet or Ethernet IP interface. The sleeve is available in various sizes. Manufacturing or robotic cells and marking stations on assembly lines are thus kept smaller and simpler.
