Adhesives for polymer optics from new EPIC member Panacol

Anzeige Joining and bonding | Companies and individuals | Created by SP

The adhesives manufacturer Panacol has optical resins and adhesives for sustainable photonics applications in its portfolio. By joining the industry association EPIC (European Photonics Industry Consortium), Panacol is underlining its commitment to sustainable photonics.

Panacol has developed new optical resins and adhesives for applications in photonics. These products are suitable, for example, for optical materials used in the production of refractive lenses and diffractive optical elements (DOEs), micro- and nano-imprint lithography, wafer level optics and optical wafer bonding. These materials can be easily applied by puddle dispensing, spin coating or jetting. With good adhesion to glass wafers and polymer substrates and fast UV curing, a precise microstructure is created.

Potential of the EPIC network

The new resins and adhesives from Panacol are suitable for use in the applications of other EPIC members. Panacol thus contributes to the technical success of photonic applications in the European market. At the same time, the large EPIC network offers potential for Panacol to strengthen the awareness of its own brands and products and to open up new markets. Panacol will, for example, take part in the planned EPIC delegation to Taiwan.

Goal: competitive polymer optics

Together with other EPIC members along the value chain, Panacol is planning to develop further overall technical solutions as part of collaborations in the coming years in order to jointly establish polymer optics on the market in a competitive manner suitable for mass production.
