A major change is taking place within the Executive Board and Supervisory Board of Trumpf. As Jürgen Hambrecht, Claudia Eckert, Peter Bokelmann and Christian Schmitz are retiring due to their age, the responsibilities of several managers change.

At the start of the new fiscal year 2023/24 on July 1, 2023, Dr. Peter Leibinger (55), Vice Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will leave the Executive Board and take over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board from Jürgen Hambrecht, who is retiring. Dr. Berthold Schmidt (54) will succeed Peter Leibinger as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on the Executive Board. The physicist has been Managing Director of Trumpf Photonic Components in Ulm since April 2020 and has been with Trumpf since 2013, including as CTO for Research and Development in the Laser Technology Business Division and as Head of Corporate Research for the Central Research and Development Division.

Other changes: Elke Reichart (58), formerly CDO of TUI AG joins the Supervisory Board of Trumpf in succession to Prof. Dr. Claudia Eckert (64). Dr. Hagen Zimer (50) becomes the new Executive Board member responsible for the Laser Technology division. This position was previously held by Dr. Christian Schmitz (63). Zimer, a physicist, has been managing director of Trumpf Laser GmbH in Schramberg since 2020. In the extended management team, Peter Bokelmann (62) is leaving the company as general counsel for reasons of age. Zimer's successor as Managing Director of Trumpf in Schramberg will be Dr. Björn Dymke (47). Dymke has been with Trumpf since 2008 and was most recently Head of Finance and Controlling.
