The trade fair agenda has been well filled for IST Metz in recent months. The company presented two innovations for UV curing: The FREEcure process, which can reduce the use of photoinitiators to a minimum, and the SMARTcure system, an AI curing assistant. The latter met with great interest, particularly among visitors to the FachPack trade fair in Nuremberg, where IST Metz was also represented.
Cleaning system monitors ozone content
At the Battery Show in Detroit, visitors' attention was primarily focused on the IST VUV Excimer System. This cleaning process allows the ozone content and the 172nm UV-C irradiation inside the inert chamber to be monitored and controlled. At the International Woodworking Fair, FREEcure, Excimer and the UV Analyzer were again in particular demand.
Products presented in Asia
IST Metz also exhibited at this year's China Composites Expo in Shanghai, one of the most important trade fairs in Asia for composite technology and design. The company exhibited at Indian Summer Print together with its Indian representative Newstech India Pvt Ltd, with whom IST Metz has been working since 2015. This showed that there is still a high demand for UV installations in newspaper presses - after all, India is one of the largest newspaper markets. UV printing technology from IST Metz is already used by many major newspapers here.
