The German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology (DGO) awarded Elena Feil for the best 2023 degree in Bavaria for training as a surface coater. She completed her training at Rosenberger and at the Semper Technical School in Nuremberg.

The three best trainees in Bavaria in 2023 in the field of surface coaters come from the training company Rosenberger GmbH Hochfrequenztechnik. Elena Feil passed the exam as the best in her year. "When I was at Rosenberger's 'Training Day', I got to know the profession of surface coater. This was followed by an internship, after which it was already clear to me that I wanted to learn this profession," says Elena Feil. Hanna Wichtlhuber achieved the second-best exam result and Lucas Kühn the third-best. All three will attend the technical school in Schwäbisch Gmünd together for two years from the fall.

Various branches of training at Rosenberger

Bernhard Zehentner is a member of the examination board and has been looking after the trainees at Rosenberger with great commitment for many years. He has been supported by Brian Gappmeier for some time now. In addition to surface coaters, Rosenberger also trains chemical laboratory technicians (m/f/d), environmental technologists (m/f/d) for wastewater management and machine and plant operators (m/f/d). "It is important to us to keep the trainees in the company after they have completed their training," says Zehentner. "We value a very good working atmosphere and are pleased that our trainees are motivated and eager to learn." The apprentices are given responsibility early on, they have to make some decisions themselves and work independently in production.

Varied work opportunities

Elena Feil is particularly fascinated by the varied work opportunities: "During my training, I learned how to control large systems, carry out manual electroplating, determine laboratory analyses and treat waste water. This has given me an insight into many areas and, ultimately, opportunities for further training in various directions. It is also interesting to understand the various processes and develop them further." She saw the opportunity to work in a not-so-well-known profession in which women are hardly represented as another challenge she wanted to take on.
