The Leipzig Electroplating Award is presented annually as part of the Leipzig Technical Seminar. This specialist conference has been organized since 1994 by the Saxony and Thuringia district groups of the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology. All companies in the electroplating and surface technology sector, i.e. suppliers of raw materials, chemicals, equipment or components, as well as electroplating shops and coaters, are eligible to apply. The awards are given for plant engineering and process chemical achievements, material-efficient, energy-efficient and ecological solutions as well as strategic concepts.
The application or proposal for the next Leipzig Electroplating Award must be submitted by October 31, 2023 with a meaningful and sufficiently detailed description. In addition to a bronze statue, a certificate and a review in Galvanotechnik magazine, the award winner will receive the opportunity to present his or her topic in a 20-minute talk at the 29th Leipzig Technical Seminar on March 7, 2024.
