World Coatings Association discusses economic situation

Globally relevant topics such as the complex international economic situation were the focus of the annual meeting of the World Coatings Council (WCC). The meeting took place under the umbrella of the VdL in Frankfurt am Main.

The complex international economic situation and global regulatory issues were at the top of the agenda at the World Coatings Council (WCC) meeting in Frankfurt am Main from March 12 to 14. Over 20 representatives of the paint industry came together at the VdL premises. Among other things, they agreed on a joint marketing campaign that will be launched at the end of March as the "International Paint and Coatings Week" - #WorldPaintAndCoatingsWeek.

Aiming for unified positioning

The WCC was founded to facilitate the exchange of information and cooperation between paint industry associations on issues facing the paint industry worldwide. One focus is on presenting the contribution of the paint industry to sustainable development. The WCC has set itself the task of developing recommendations and analyses on selected topics. With a globally coordinated positioning, it presents a united front to other international organizations and interest groups.
