To restore the original beauty of a wooden house, Cetol glazes were used to renovate the façade and wooden terrace. They provide lasting protection for the wooden components and restore the natural aesthetics with their matt finish.

The wooden façade of a solid house with suspended wooden cladding had weathered after 15 years and needed to be renovated. The new coating was to provide lasting protection for the components, while at the same time restoring their natural beauty and creating a matt surface. AkzoNobel consultant Michael Maune therefore recommended Cetol BL Natural Mat. Cetol BL Hydratol was used on the terrace.

Professional refurbishment

For the professional refurbishment of the wooden house in Tüßling near Altötting, the wooden façade had to be completely sanded down and rebuilt. Cetol BL Natural Mat in the renovation color Ochre 1100 was used twice as an intermediate coating. The two final coats were applied with Cetol BL Natural Mat in the color teak. The latest generation of exterior glaze is characterized by maximum transparency and emphasizes the grain of the wood with its very matt finish.

Ideal coating for the windows

The windows were coated with Rubbol BL Ventura Satin in a matching shade of blue. The water-thinnable semi-gloss paint is characterized by good fullness and opacity, optimum edge coverage, easy trimming, good flow and high elasticity. The combination of long open time and short drying time allows up to two coats a day. The water-thinnable, ventilating window varnish is therefore ideal for the effective coating of windows.
