For Cartec's eddy current rotation process, a special matting substrate is set into a rotating circular motion by compressed air, which runs like a small tornado. This air flow is guided over the matting component. The microfine matting particles roughen the surface absolutely finely and evenly. Depending on the distance to the object, a matting between eccentric grinding P400 and P1500 can be achieved in this way.
The process effectively helps to avoid scoring and inadequately matted surfaces in hard-to-reach places. At the same time, the process offers time savings of up to 80%. According to the manufacturer, a bumper, for example, only requires a processing time of five minutes instead of the usual 40 minutes.
