Vulkan Inox GmbH will be presenting stainless steel blasting media for industrial surface preparation at PaintExpo in Karlsruhe from April 14 to 17, 2026 (Hall 2, Booth 2226). The company specializes in durable, corrosion-resistant blasting media that are used prior to coating processes.
Stainless steel abrasives are used for cleaning, descaling, and roughening steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized components. The aim is to achieve a defined surface structure as the basis for adhesive and durable coatings. Consistent surface profiles enable subsequent painting or coating processes to be carried out more reliably.
Cost-effectiveness and process stability
According to the company, the stainless steel blasting media are characterized by high impact and breakage resistance. This reduces blasting media consumption compared to mineral alternatives. At the same time, disposal costs and dust generation are reduced.
Another advantage is that the material is rust-free. Corrosive residues, such as those that can occur with steel blasting media, are avoided. This contributes to reproducible results and consistent coating quality.
Stainless steel abrasives can be used in both compressed air blasting and wheel blasting systems. In automated blasting systems in particular, they offer productive processes with uniform surface profiles.
Application tests in the technical center
Vulkan Inox operates its own technical center with various blasting systems. There, users can test blasting processes under realistic conditions and determine suitable blasting media. In addition, product-specific quality controls are carried out in the company's own laboratory.
According to the company, the stainless steel blasting media is manufactured using renewable electrical energy. Vulkan Inox thus combines industrial surface preparation with sustainable production processes.
