The general meeting started with the welcoming speech of Friedhelm U. Scholten, Chairman of the VOA Board. In the introductory lecture, Andrea Belegante, partner at the recruitment agency Stanton Chase Stuttgart, described the expectations of "Generation Z" on companies. The association was able to present its wide range of technical topics at the two Technical Circle meetings.
Since 2021, the Technical Circle has been investing a lot of knowledge in the revision of the Best Available Techniques Reference Surface Treatment of Metals and Plastics (BREF STM). In cooperation with the umbrella organization ESTAL (European Association for Surface Treatment on Aluminium), the VOA also addresses the sustainability of surface-treated aluminum in Europe. The Technical Committee also dealt with the further development of the QUALANOD and QUALICOAT quality marks, for which the VOA is the general licensee.
