With the acquisition of its distribution partner MEI, ViscoTec is establishing its own branch in Mexico. The dosing technology specialist is thus strengthening its presence in North and Central America and moving closer to important industrial customers.

On January 23, 2026, ViscoTec acquired its long-standing sales partner MEI Representaciones, based in Querétaro, and founded the new subsidiary ViscoTec Mexico. Mexico is considered one of the most important production locations for the North American market and a dynamic growth market. With its local presence, the company aims to further expand its market position in key industries such as electronics, e-mobility, automotive, food, cosmetics, and, in the future, aerospace.

Continuity in management

Héctor Bravo Ontiveros, who has played a key role in developing the former family-owned company MEI in recent years, will take over the management of ViscoTec Mexico. The existing team of nine employees will be retained in its entirety. "We are convinced of the technical strength of the company, appreciate the people behind it, and admire the corporate culture that is lived and breathed there," says Ontiveros.

Proximity to customers and optimized logistics

By integrating its previous sales partner, ViscoTec is shortening supply chains, increasing operational control, and improving service and response times. In the future, customers will benefit from direct support, regional logistics, and a permanent local contact person.
