In March of this year, the hot-dip galvanizing plant Karger took over Mega-Pulverbeschichtung in Schwarzach/Austria and thus for the first time another company. Mega-Pulverbeschichtung is now largely integrated. This means that Karger, as a "transnational group of companies, can cover an order completely and process the goods quickly and efficiently in the plants," says Managing Director Wolfgang Karger. Many customers are responding well to the now significantly expanded portfolio and are increasingly placing orders ranging from galvanizing to powder coating, says the company boss. Pre-treatment by fine plastering and sandblasting is also increasingly in demand.
Can also be used as a galvanizing shop
Customers can deliver the parts to be coated themselves or use a collection and delivery service from Karger. For the time being, the Bad Wurzach site will therefore be available purely as a logistics center for receiving and distributing goods. More than 20 vehicles are available for transportation to Schwarzach in Austria several times a week. In future, however, Bad Wurzach could also serve as a fourth location for galvanizing within the Karger group of companies - provided that the mega takeover results in higher demand from more customers.
