With the takeover of Mega Pulverbeschichtungen, the hot-dip galvanizing plant Karger is expanding its business area as of 1 March 2024. "We have been thinking about expanding our range of services for some time and powder coating is an ideal addition to hot-dip galvanizing," says Managing Director Wolfgang Karger. Karger has decided to take over an established company. In addition to electrostatic powder coating, another of Mega's core competencies is its in-house sandblasting process.
Specialist for galvanized steel
Mega, which specializes in the coating of galvanized steel, was looking for a successor for reasons of age. Mega Managing Director Peter Schwendinger sees Karger as a family business with the same objectives and values, which will continue to operate at its current location. Everything will remain the same for the approximately 30 employees as well as for the customers. Peter Schwendinger will continue to steer the company's fortunes as Managing Director, while his brother Walter will act as Production Manager in future. The synergies with the neighboring company Zargen Bösch will also be maintained and expanded. Zargen Bösch previously held a 50 percent stake in Mega Pulverbeschichtungen GmbH and owns the property. This will now be leased to Karger on a long-term basis.
