At the beginning of the conference, hosted by the European Thin Films Research Association (EFDS), there will be the PVD tutorial: Those interested in vacuum coating technology will get an introduction to system design and construction with practical relevance. The company SBS Metalltechnik GmbH can also be visited.
Keynote speeches will be given by Prof. Michael Bruno Klein, Chief Executive of the AiF, and Prof. Andreas Pinkwart, Chair of Innovation and Technology Management at the Technical University of Dresden. One focus of the conference will be on the topic of energy: current work on this, for example from battery development or on photovoltaics and hydrogen applications, will be presented. In addition, current research projects will be presented. With a share of more than 70 % presentations from industry, the V2023 is particularly application-oriented.
