At the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), 92 apprentices and 21 dual students have started the 2023 training year. KIT is one of the largest trainers in Karlsruhe.

The Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) offers more than 25 industrial-technical, scientific, and commercial apprenticeships as well as more than 12 dual study programs. "We train skilled workers for our own needs, but also beyond that on behalf of the public sector," says Michael Ganß, KIT Vice President Finance, Human Resources, and Infrastructure.

"We train most young people in the natural sciences, such as biology or chemistry lab assistants. However, we also employ many trainees in the commercial field," says Bettina Auer from KIT's Human Resources Development and Vocational Training service unit. Almost every year, KIT trainees are awarded by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) - also already on the national level - as best of the year. KIT also receives awards from the IHK for outstanding training performance.
