Dr. Claus Narr has been the third Managing Director of diode laser specialist Laserline since January 1, 2025. The mechanical engineer manages Laserline together with the founders Dr. Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause. Dr. Narr has been with Laserline since 2011 and has held various key positions. "We are delighted to have Claus Narr at our side, who is very familiar with all company processes and products," say the founders.
With the company for 13 years
Dr. Narr can look back on more than 13 years with the company. He completed his doctorate in mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University and was group leader for production logistics and managing director of the RWTH start-up myOpenFactory during his time at the machine tool laboratory. At Laserline, he started as an assistant to the management and supported the management in establishing a branch in Shanghai/China and in expanding the production and administrative capacities at the headquarters in Mülheim-Kärlich. He also took over production management in the area of compact diode lasers and later became head of quality management and service. As a member of the Laserline management team, he will support the founders in the management of operational business in the future.
