QUALICOAT invites you to its international congress in Munich on November 20, 2026. The technical program will take place at the Sofitel München Bayerpost, while the anniversary celebrations will begin the evening before with a highlight tour, a reception, and a gala dinner at the Allianz Arena. QUALICOAT and QUALIDECO licensees and certifiers, general licensees, and experts from the fields of architecture, construction, and the aluminum industry are expected to attend.
The congress’s theme is “Inspired by Architecture, Trusted by Professionals,” and it deliberately looks beyond the organization’s own quality network. The focus will be on applications of coated aluminum in architecture and construction, quality assurance issues, and current technical, regulatory, and sustainability-related developments.
Technical Program Divided into Three Sections
The program is structured into the thematic sessions “Architecture, Design, and Projects,” “System Houses and Project Delivery,” and “Technical, Regulatory, and Legislative Developments.” Thus, the event covers a broad spectrum ranging from specific projects to collaboration along the value chain and legal and technical requirements.
Announced speakers include Werner Frosch from Henning Larsen, Philipp Bauer and Stefan Erb from HPP Architects, Dr. Theresa Villinger and Marc Holz from ift Rosenheim and the IFO Institute for Surface Technology, respectively, Dr. Christoph Gamer from SurTec Germany, Sencan Kizilkaya from Akzo Nobel Powder Coatings, Paul Voss from European Aluminium, Bernard Gilmont from ESTAL, Lars van den Berg from Novastruct, Prof. Iris De Graeve from the Free University of Brussels, and Ahmed Talaat from Union Coatings and Chemical Industries and the Quali Middle East Association.
International Focus and Anniversaries
The official language of the conference is English. Simultaneous interpretation into French, Spanish, Italian, and German will be provided. A trade exhibition is also planned, where companies can present their products and solutions to an international audience.
The event takes on special significance due to two anniversaries: QUALICOAT has been in existence for 40 years, and QUALIDECO for 30 years. The Association for the Surface Finishing of Aluminum (VOA) is involved in the event as the German general licensee and welcomes the international QUALICOAT community to Germany. According to the association, the congress is intended to provide technical inspiration and strengthen the exchange between coaters, system providers, planners, and other market participants.
