SurTec, together with its sister companies Freudenberg Performance Materials (FPM) and Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST), will be presenting new solutions for electric drives: While SurTec will be focusing on corrosion protection for battery housings, FPM will be presenting Battery Pack Liquid Absorbers. FST's trade show appearance will focus on heat shields. At the joint booth 10-B30, experts from all three sister companies will be available to answer questions, also on special topics.
The chromium(VI)-free SurTec 650 is a bright corrosion protection for light metals that enables state-of-the-art battery housings with a reliable and long service life. This makes the product suitable for battery components in electromobility that are located in the underbody of vehicles due to their design and are therefore permanently exposed to various environmental influences. SurTec 650 also offers electromagnetic compatibility and is therefore a suitable solution for the surface treatment of battery housings and the housings of electronic control units (ECU), for example.
