For Peters, the new Reflow 1.8. machine from Seho is an investment in the future. This machine is used in the laboratory for testing high-quality solder resist. Before the lacquers are entrusted to the customers, Peters subjects them to a thermal soldering simulation. Substrates and printed circuit boards coated with Peters lacquers pass through the machine via a conveyor belt. Via a total of ten radiators on two levels, the coated part can be heated to a maximum of 320° Celsius in the new reflow system. "If the paint does not show any cracks or color changes after the heat bath, a major hurdle in the development of new special paint systems for electronics has been overcome," says Jonas Sutmann, paint laboratory technician at Peters.
With the purchase of the soldering system from Seho, Peters made an important investment. For in-house research and development and quality assurance, this step is of extraordinary value. "The investment in the reflow system was consistent and future-oriented," says Detlef Paschke. The machine weighs 900 kilograms and measures 3.20 x 1.25 x 1.60 meters. "Nevertheless, our supplier built the system in such a way that it takes up around half as much space as in everyday industrial production," says Jonas Sutmann, who is responsible for the machine.
