Organic coated steels are known for their high durability in roofs, facades and roof drainage systems. They have to withstand the highest corrosion and wear loads as well as UV radiation. The new UV and corrosion protection classes ensure that building products have an extremely long product life, which is already confirmed by SSAB's GreenCoat guarantees. The coating contains a significant proportion of Swedish vegetable oil instead of fossil oil.
The test duration of the new RUV5 and RC5+ protection classes have been significantly extended. The organically coated GreenCoat PLX Pural BT steel, well-known among roofers and plumbers and primarily used in standing seam roofs and facades, now meets the highest UV and corrosion protection standards: RUV5 (matte finish) and RC5+ (matte and normal gloss finish). The GreenCoat guarantees are based on over 40 years of experience gained by SSAB in outdoor test sites.
