While larger transducer plates are usually used in batch cleaning, Megasonic single and double nozzles are available for flexible use. These have a piezo-ceramic in the housing, past which the medium is directed, thus imparting the Megasonic sound. The liquid jet then reaches the outside via a quartz glass tip and has its focal point approx. 5-20 mm below the exit point with a diameter of approx. 4 mm.
With the double nozzle it is possible to configure two different frequencies (and powers), while with the single nozzle one frequency is used. The advantage of the megasonic nozzle systems are their flexible and adjustable power. In addition, the PTFE housing design offers high resistance to numerous chemicals. This results in a wide range of applications and excellent cleaning results in a short application time.
