In order to obtain polymers with a speckled effect, "salt and pepper mixtures" were previously produced. However, their optical effects could not be reproduced uniformly. Romira now offers speckle compounds in various colors.

With the new Romiracle product range, which was integrated into the company's portfolio at the beginning of 2024, Romira, a partner in the Rowa group of companies, is responding to the increasing market demand for the so-called speckle effect.

Various polymers with speckle effect

Romira is able to offer the speckle effect on the basis of numerous polymers such as ABS, ASA, PMMA, PC, SAN, PC/ASA or PA. Depending on the base polymer, different technical properties and optics can be realized. The products previously offered with such optical properties could not be reproduced uniformly and tended to form flow lines.

Granite look with ceramic feel

In terms of shades, Romira offers a broad spectrum - from opaque to transparent - and can also combine different colors and speckle sizes. When combined with textures, Romiracle solutions open up many new design options for customers. One of the possible combinations, for example, combines a granite look with a ceramic feel. Product designers in industries such as cosmetics, automotive, household appliances, furniture, E&E and construction can take advantage of the many possible combinations of aesthetics and haptics.
