Reiter presents the new AGR-E automatic gun for the electrostatic application of coating materials. The focus is on fast changeover times, low weight, and flexible usability.

Reiter GmbH + Co. KG Oberflächentechnik will be presenting its new AGR-E air atomizing electrostatic gun at PaintExpo 2026 in Karlsruhe. The automatic gun was developed for the electrostatic application of solvent- and water-based paints.

During use, a high voltage of up to 90 kV is applied to the electrode. An electrostatic field is created between the atomizer and the grounded workpiece, which supports uniform material deposition. This allows not only flat surfaces but also edges, corners, and backsides of components to be coated.

Quick change and flexible integration

A key feature of the AGR-E is its quick-change device. The gun can be quickly removed from the gun holder, which accommodates the material, air, and high-voltage lines. Adapter solutions enable use on hollow wrist or flexi-arm robots, lifting devices, and stationary systems.

Weighing around 300 grams, the gun is designed for dynamic movements in automated applications. Medium-carrying components are made of stainless steel. Separate controls for horn and atomizer air allow the spray geometry to be adapted to different coating tasks.

Cleaning and process stability

The design is geared towards easy cleaning and maintenance. Optimized flushability supports use with different application quantities. An air cap sealing ring reduces solvent splashes when used in gun cleaning stations.

Reiter develops and manufactures automatic electrostatic painting systems and application technology for wood, plastic, and metal processing. The AGR-E expands the portfolio in the field of automated wet painting.

Reiter will be exhibiting at PaintExpo in Hall 2, Booth 2102.
