The topic Circular Economy is the focus of the hybrid RAL Forum Circular Economy on 21.09.2023 in Bonn. The event will not only answer the questions of whether climate-neutral and economic action go together or what sustainable design looks like. The RAL quality marks for the circular economy will also be presented at the conference.
There are now six of these: the RAL quality mark "Re-production of refrigeration appliances and re-production of CFC-foamed products" and the RAL quality marks "Re-consumption", "Furniture circularly sustainable", "Demolition", "Recyclable PET", "CO₂-reducing timber structures" and "Sustainable trade wood and building products". The technical and content-related basis of the RAL quality marks are quality and test specifications that are defined by RAL - Deutsches Institut für Gütesicherung und Kennzeichnung e.V. (German Institute for Quality Assurance and Labelling) and the relevant quality association with experts and with the involvement of business and consumer associations. Companies whose products or services bear the RAL quality mark are subject to these requirements as well as to continuous in-house and external monitoring.
