With VibroOne+, Polytec introduces a compact, all-in-one laser Doppler vibrometer for optical vibration measurement. The system combines a user-friendly front end with an integrated laser, a highly compact fiber-coupled sensor, and the VibSoft data acquisition and analysis software. This provides a complete solution that enables non-contact, high-precision vibration measurements without applying masses to the test specimen.
The measuring instrument is designed for analyzing real-world component dynamics, vibration phenomena, and acoustics in research, product development, and quality control. Polytec sees typical applications in small and sensitive structures, in electronics, in microstructures such as MEMS, and in biomedical samples. The system measures mode shapes for model validation as well as frequency response, resonance frequency, impulse response, and damping characteristics.
Use in Confined Measurement Setups
VibroOne+ is specifically designed for compact measurement setups in measurement laboratories, test benches, and production environments. For target acquisition, the system features an integrated HD+ camera that allows the laser measurement spot to be precisely aligned and the measurement to be documented. An adjustable filter enhances the contrast of the laser measurement spot. For examining very small structures, special microscope objectives with a measurement spot of 1.5 μm and a coaxial illumination unit are available.
Noncontact measurement is performed from DC up to high-frequency ranges. In the product description, Polytec specifies an operating range “from DC up to 3 MHz with the highest time resolution.” This means the system is suitable for both traditional vibration analysis and applications where fine vibration details on small components need to be visualized.
Digital and Analog Data Output
The measurement system provides displacement, velocity, and acceleration directly as analog output signals. Via the VibroLink digital interface, vibration measurement data can be transmitted fully digitally via Ethernet to a laptop or computer. Analysis is performed using the VibSoft software in both the time and frequency domains. Additionally, VibroOne+ is compatible with conventional data acquisition hardware via analog BNC outputs.
For fast measurement sequences, Polytec also integrates a reference channel and a built-in signal generator. This enables direct excitation and phase-synchronous measurements.
