The slightest impurities impair adhesion in subsequent processes such as bonding, printing, painting or coating, thus jeopardizing the quality and reliability of the end products. Conventional cleaning methods often rely on solvents or complex, chemical wet processes. With HydroPlasma, Plasmatreat now offers an alternative that works completely without chemicals. Only compressed air, electricity and water are required.
Also removes inorganic residues
HydroPlasma enhances the effect of Plasmatreat's open-air plasma technology and makes it possible to effectively remove inorganic residues such as fingerprints. The cleaning process is based on the direct injection of water into the plasma jet, where it is ionized and converted into a highly reactive jet. This is directed precisely onto the substrate surface via a specially developed nozzle. The ionized water molecules achieve a cleaning effect that is comparable to detergent in warm water. They reliably dissolve and remove residues.
Versatile application options
HydroPlasma is particularly suitable for industries with high cleanliness requirements. It can be integrated into existing production processes as well as into existing Plasmatreat plasma systems. The process can be used very flexibly, for example in battery production or the electronics industry. It was originally developed for metal and glass cleaning, but is also suitable for plastics: The cooling effect of the water supply minimizes the risk of thermal damage to sensitive surfaces and enables gentle cleaning.
