Plantag Coatings GmbH has put a state-of-the-art production facility into operation in Detmold. The 2,500 square meter hall enables the production of high-performance, radiation-curing coating systems at a modern level. The new production facility has a stirring capacity of up to 35,000 liters per shift and can be operated in multiple shifts if required.
Tank farm for 240,000 liters of binder
Ten dissolvers of different sizes ensure flexible and efficient production. Thanks to a storage capacity of 240,000 liters for binders in eight stainless steel tanks and an additional additive tank farm of 20,000 liters, the new plant is designed for the manufacture of large production volumes. "The new production facility in Detmold is an important step for Plantag Coatings to meet the growing demands of the market and at the same time fulfill the highest quality and efficiency standards," says Managing Director Hanno Baumann.
With its own heating chambers
The integration of a tugger train also enables a direct connection to other raw material warehouses. Plantag has all water and hazardous goods permits for the new facilities. Another feature is the preheating of selected raw materials in special heating chambers, which ensures even more efficient processing.
